The provincial government of Romblon announced on Tuesday, October 29, that President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Romblon governor Jose Riano as the new chairman of Mimaropa Regional Development Council.
Regional Development Council is composed of local government officials, regional heads of departments and government offices and representatives from non-governmental organizations within the region.
RDCs provide for administrative decentralization to strengthen the autonomy of local government units in MIMAROPA.-
